Girl With Alopecia Found An Alluring Way To Flaunt Her Head and Won the School Competition


Gianessa, a seven-year-old girl, suffers from autoimmune disease alopecia.

When Gianessa’s mother Dianella was combing her daughter’s hair, she was frightened to find clumps of hair coming off from her scalp.

The family later found that their daughter has been suffering from alopecia that made her hair and eyebrow never grow back to a normal state.

The news devastated both Gianessa and her family. Her mother added that it was not her looks that made us worried, we were afraid of the embarrassment she would face in school and what if somebody would bully her.

The mother-daughter found out about the Crazy Hair Day competition at Gianessa’s school, where kids have to come up with different hairdo to win the title.

Sensing an opportunity to make her daughter stand out from the rest, Dianella decided to deck her daughter’s bald head with glittery stickers. It was time to say out loud that bald is beautiful.

Dianella bought some adhesive stickers and jewels and decorated Gianessa’s head. The 7-year-old was delighted to see her head all decked up. It gave her several ounces of courage and confidence to present herself in front of the crowd.

Her mother made several patterns and design on her head, mainly butterflies, owls, flowers, etc. While Gianessa was quite nervous thinking whether her look will be accepted, Dianella was just trying to make her girl happy.

To everyone’s surprise, not only her look was accepted, but it was also titled the Crazy Hair at the competition.

Gianessa’s happiness and confidence were on cloud nine, and so was her mother’s to see her girl smile through her eyes. The little girl admitted she was initially sad to lose all her hair, but today she loved being bald as she believes she can do things that her friends cannot do.
