A 4-year-old girl wants people to know that princess Jasmine from the Disney film Aladdin doesn’t “need a boy to take you to see the whole world.
”
One day before Madison Jade and her family went to the cinemas to watch the movie, her mom recorded her talking about Jasmine and shared it on social media.
She wrote on Instagram: “We are going to see the new Aladdin movie tomorrow, and someone has an opinion about Jasmine’s lack of independence!”
Madison told the camera: “Jasmine needs to go see the world by herself because Aladdin needs to just stay there and Jasmine can just go by herself,” adding: “there is not enough space on the carpet.”
The little girl, who also has a YouTube channel of her own, said: “Jasmine can go by herself or Aladdin can go by himself.”
When her mom asked if it is good that the prince always saves the princess, Madison answered: “A princess doesn’t need a prince to rescue her. She can rescue herself.”
One person commented: “Yes Madison!!! Teach them! I’ve visited 64 of my 172 countries by myself! Who needs a boy!!!”
Another wrote: “Cuz she’s a STRONG INDEPENDENT KINDERGARTENER who don’t need no man! That’s right hunny! Amen.”
