A German Professor who is known as Hubert Zitt at the Zweibrucken University of Applied Sciences is a hardcore star wars fan and talks about star wars with his small team which is transformed in the Zweibruck Observatory of the Natural Science Association into the R2-D2 from star wars, and it is just amazing.
He took the help of several students and his father-in-law to paint the observatory. The observatory is so amazing that many star war fans couldn’t take their eyes off it and one of the fans tweeted that R2-D2 has transformed Germans into giant nerds.
It is not the first R2-D2 observatory as the Goodsell Observatory in Minnesota at the Carleton College has also been transformed into R2-D2 observatory in the year 2010.
Zitt completed his observatory work with his helping students during September 2018.
Zitt is now known for his Star Trek expertise and Star Wars, but before this, he started in the electrotechnology.
He has done his doctorate from the Saarland University about the theory of electrotechnology and then became a tenured professor at the University of Applied Science, Kaiserslautern, Zweibrucken.
The sci-fi professor keeps spreading his information about sci-fi pop culture whenever he is not teaching electrotechnology.
It is incredible to see the dedication this professor has for his interests and likes. He is such a huge fan of star wars that he transformed the observatory into something from the star wars itself.
Hubert also wrote a preface of the book which is Star Trek in Germany and has got so much recognization in his field because of his contribution.
He wrote the preface along with the Star Trek inventor’s son who is known as Gene Roddenberry.
Then in 2008 fall, he became a regular lecturer in the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas.
He started teaching The Physics of Star Trek to his students there and was known for his amazing skills. The R2-D2 which is transformed by the professor looks terrific and out of this world.
