A Female Dog Rescued an Infant Monkey in a Village and Later Adopted as Her Non-Biological Child

An infant monkey in India recently found herself in a dangerous situation when the local pack of dogs tried to attack her.

But surprisingly, a sensitive dog came and rescued the little monkey and was seen carrying the animal and was even breastfed by the loving dog.

The incident took place in the parts of Central India where the female dog, Ruby made the efforts of saving the young and defenseless monkey. Ruby, unfortunately, has only one eye.

Ruby can be seen wandering in the streets of a Madhya Pradesh based village called Kanskheda. She has got no pups of her own, but now she is seen with a tiny little creature perched onto her back.

Suresh Prabhy, the dog’s owner, said that whenever the infant is off her back, she keeps a check on the monkey just like a caring mother. He claimed that his dog is indeed very protective of the little monkey.

The dog owner also described how the surrogate mother saved the monkey. He added that one fine day the baby was wandering in the area and the local dogs saw the opportunity of ripping the small creature apart to have a fancy meal, but his dog was adamant on saving the needy and immediately intervened.

The duo is now the center of attraction is not only the local village of Sehoni Malwa but people from neighboring communities of the Hoshangabad District also visit the house of the dog owner to get a sneak peek into the intriguing lives of the two.

The two are quite a hot topic in the town but are also a great example of how kindness can be offered by one species to the other.
