A family in Nebraska has taken the meaning of unique snow sculptures to a whole new level by creating a life-size Ford Mustang in front of their house.

From there, things only got more fun. After the snow car was carved into precision, an officer, who is a friend of the family, pranked them by writing a fake parking ticket for the vehicle.

Mick Downing, Nebraska State Patrol Sergeant, saw the picture of the car on social media and explained he pranked the family by writing a fake parking ticket.

“I am friends with the people who made the car and I saw they had posted a photo of it on social media,” the 48-year-old officer said.

“I thought I’d pull a prank on them by putting an ‘intent to tow notice’ on it, asking the driver to remove the vehicle in 24 hours or it would get towed.

“Not that I was going to tow a huge chunk of ice – that thing must weigh a ton! It’s a life-sized replica of a Ford Mustang; it was packed solid! It’s quite a work of art, we all thought it was really neat.”

Following the post going viral, the wife of the owner of the luxurious car, Jess Blundell, also spoke out and revealed that her husband, Jason, and their two kids had been building the car for five hours.

“They had a great time doing it,” Jess said.

“They used a Bobcat to assist with piling snow from around the area and they used shovels and concrete tools to mould and shape it.”
