The times are hard for humans and communities.
While we are able to afford all the things we need and are able to come back home without the virus after making a dangerous trip to the supermarket, not all of us are lucky enough to survive it.
The world is on lockdown. Most of the countries have restrained their citizens to even walk out of their doors for an important reason for saving their lives.
It is hard for all of us to overcome the situation and everyone is trying to help each other.
As people started sharing and setting libraries and goods exchange stalls in their yard to help other people, Terry Uribe Gall’s family decided to set a free pantry in the yard.
They picked out a table and kept all the extra food items and other necessary things they had at home. They added a few signs to the table too. One asked people to only take what they needed.
The other one asked people to bring in what they can offer to other people in the times of crisis, and a third sign saying everyone is in this together.
They had set up the pantry for the community and to help all who are suffering but they had no idea they will get this response.
As they had set up the pantry, several people from the community came in and took the stuff they had needed. But more people came in to donate to the pantry what they had in extra and wanted others to use it.
With a couple of days, the pantry went from a small table to the size of a room under a tent.
This was the true example of saying everyone is together in this situation. People around the world are helping each other survive and it is so beautiful to see humans finally coming together after so long.
