Family Turned Garage Into A Nightclub To Celebrate Son’s 21st Birthday During Quarantine


People across the globe are appreciating a family who turned their home into ‘club quarantine’ to celebrate the special day of their son.

Speaking to BuzzFeed News, the 18-year-old Emily Torchia shared how her parents made her brother feel delighted during the lockdown.

She also shared the incident on TikTok, explaining how the family managed to arrange different things.

“The night of [my brother’s] 21st was a great night,” she wrote.

“My mom and dad put in a lot of work to make sure it seemed as real as possible. My mom even made my dad memorize lines!

“In fact, it made this time in quarantine easier.”

Since the 21-year-old couldn’t go outside, his loving mom came up with the idea of providing a bar-like experience at home.

Torchia’s mom served as a bartender while her dad became the bouncer.

They even planned and scripted the lines they had to speak. The mum said in TikTok video: “Welcome to Club Quarantine!

“It’s our policy we give you a free green tea shot. And we let the bouncer, waitress, and I’ll do one with you.”

The video received millions of views, with people praising the strong bonds of the family, that belongs to Roseland, New Jersey.

Another said: “Most wholesome healthy video I’ve seen today.”

According to Torchia, all members of her family are really close to one another, and they are used to ‘do stuff like this all the time.’

Speaking of the reaction to her TikTok post, she said: “The comments are full of positive words about my family and my great parents.
