19-Year-Old Got A Facial Tattoo Because ‘The Universe Told Him’ To

A 19-year-old from the US has a tattoo on his face which reads “it’s f***ed up but true” – and he got the questionable phrase inked because magic mushrooms ‘told him’ to do so.

The artist and producer who prefers to be known as ‘The Opposite of Sadness’ or TOOS instead of his real name says the universe told him to get the bizarre tattoo at the time when he’s ‘tripping really hard.’

TOOS, from Los Angeles, scoffed down some magic mushrooms after he got them from one of his friends.

He got the tattoo just after he had taken the mushrooms. At the time, there was no other person who could ask him to reconsider the phrase and TOOS was all alone.

“I went to Lavish Tattoo on EL Cajon after believing it was my duty to get the tattoo,” he said.

“I remember laying down and having a rush of the universe smacking me all over my brain and body. I was tripping really hard and the universe told me the phrase: ‘It’s f***ed up but true.'”

Even though he was high when he got the tattoo, he didn’t regret it after coming to his senses.

“You get a lot of adrenaline when you’re getting your face tattooed, so you don’t feel much at all,” TOOS, who got the tattoo in a San Diego salon, said.

“My first thoughts were: I love it! It is fitting for the current state of the world.”

The artist says he doesn’t use drugs regularly. “I take them when I feel like it’s necessary, but now I try to stay sober because I want to stay alive and enjoy life,” he said.

Regardless of what he feels, his family hates the inappropriate phrase that’s now permanently inked on his face.

TOOS also gets stares from the public whenever he’s out, most of whom even dare to call his tattoo ‘absolutely crazy’ to his face.

Despite all this, he still wants to get more and more tattoos.

“I will definitely be keeping it and want to get a lot more tattoos all over my body – but not too much to take away from my natural beauty,” TOOS said.

“I will be getting my eyelids done next – which proves I don’t have a single regret.”
