Esther The Wonder Pig Enjoyed Her Day In The Kid’s Pool

Esther the Wonder Pig was adopted by Derek Walter and Steve Jenkins adopted in 2012.

Jenkins and his partner Derek Walter lived in a three-bedroom ranch-style house in Georgetown with two dogs, three cats, two turtles and a koi pond in the back yard. They decided to add Esther to their family.

“The first couple of weeks, we had this baby animal in our house. Anybody that has a bleeding heart loves baby animals; you can’t help but fall in love”, Jenkins said.

“She was incredible from the day we brought her home, super clever. We’d see intelligence in her we didn’t even see in our dogs”, he added.

Esther became an Internet sensation after her dads started posting her pictures and videos on social media in 2013.

Esther is now living a happy life with his two dads at their home. 650-pound Esther has a closet full of coats, bonnets and handmade evening gowns.

The gifts are sent to her by her fans around the world.

She has more than 1 million followers on Facebook and more than 64k followers on Twitter.

“The more people look at her and watch her, they build a relationship with her. She’s so relatable…and then they’ll see a video of her and think, ‘Oh I’d love to have a cupcake and a massage for breakfast like she does’”, Jenkins said.

Esther is so adorable. Her owners have stopped eating bacon and became vegan after she came in their life.

The owners started their own sanctuary where Esther has a house and they all live together.

Andrea White, who works as the farm sanctuary coordinator, says about Esther: “She is a special pig — she’s very different from other pigs. I’m not sure she realizes she’s a pig. She thinks she’s a dog.”
