“Who are we looking for?” he said. “I am here.”

It was Bayhan himself!

It became apparent that a visibly drunk 50-year-old had joined his own search party and was with the crew the entire time. Everyone in the search and rescue teams was shocked after knowing that Bayhan was with them the whole time.

Bayhan was reportedly unaware that his friends had reported him missing. It’s not clear how the drunk man came to discover his own search party.

It was also uncertain how his friends failed to realize that he was with them looking for himself the entire time.

Bayhan was transported back to his home and family safely, leaving police to file the strangest missing persons case report they’ve ever solved.

Something very similar happened with a woman who had visited Iceland in 2012. The woman had taken part in a major mountain search operation for a missing tourist.

But she later admitted to the police that she was the missing person that everyone was looking for. The strange search had taken place in Iceland’s southern volcanic region the Eldgja canyon.
