A driver has been slammed on social media after the picture showing their windscreen full of plastic figurines went viral.

As seen on the photo that took over the internet, the car owner placed over 60 Coles Stikeez collectibles on the inner side of the windscreen of their car.

Stikeez figurines have been widely distributed in several supermarkets across the world in an attempt to get customers to spend more money.

“It’s always important to have a clear view out of the car. ‘Stikeez’ is not meant for the windscreen,” the NSW Traffic and Highway Patrol Command explained on Facebook where they shared the photo.

In the car owner’s defense, however, the figurines were placed on the opposite side of the steering wheel and the driver’s seat.

After the authority shared the photo online, thousands of commenters joined the debate with some slamming the driver and others backing them up.

“Surprised someone hasn’t broken into it yet… I’d be more worried about leaving those ‘valuables’ in an unattended car,” one person joked.

“Can you please advise who that car belongs to because there are a few there that I haven’t got yet. Hoping to do a swap,” another one said.

As one Facebook user suggested, they too have started sticking the figurines to the windscreen without much success. “OMG I started doing that and they melted in the heat,” they wrote.

One person, however, wasn’t convinced by the car owner’s exhibition. “Not only does it look ridiculous but is totally irresponsible. This is an accident waiting to happen!” they wrote.
