A family dog was accused of stealing the Christmas after wolfing an entire Christmas dinner while family members weren’t watching.

As owner David Barrett explained on Twitter, Bubba the dog sneaked into the kitchen and downed the dinner which was covered in tin foil.

After spotting just one tiny piece of turkey left, David came up with a tweet in which he wrote: “No chance has my silly dog scranned the whole turkey for tomorrow.”

Soon enough, he also came up with an update in which he shared a picture of stuffed Bubba after finally finding her resting.

“There’s the culprit; she can’t move,” he added.

Fortunately for Bubba, the massive amount of food she consumed in such a short time didn’t turn out to be deadly.

As for the family, they asked their relatives to bring over their leftover turkey to make sure Christmas dinner was still in play.

“It was a turkey breast and mum cooked everything and sat it on the bottom tier of a two-tier table and put tin foil and a dish cloth over it,” David explained.

“She just couldn’t move. It was pretty big, a whole turkey breast. My aunt had two turkeys so we got one of hers.”

After stealing the Christmas dinner, Bubba was allegedly put on a strict diet in order to lose the extra weight she gained during her mischief.

After Bubba’s story went viral, social media users were quick to see the funny side of the story as they compared the dog with a stuffed turkey.

Not everyone, however, agreed that the incident is a laughing matter. As plenty of users suggested, the dog could’ve died because of consuming too much food at once.
