A teenager has recently taken it to Twitter to reveal how she ended up looking like ‘Mr.

Potato Head’ after using some $50 dental veneers she purchased online.

Ferne Rawson, 18, bought the set of veneers but, as it happens with online shopping all the time, what she received was nothing even close to what she had expected.

While she spent a handsome amount to get pearl white teeth without having to go to a dentist, she ended up looking like ‘Mr. Potato Head,’ the character from Toy Story, after using them.

Ferne, a resident of Auchinleck, Scotland, took it to social media to share her unpleasant experience.

Posting some photos to highlight the intensity of the situation, she tweeted: “Ferne strikes again. Ordered clip-in veneers because all the pics looked good and I got all excited.

“They just arrived and I look like Mr. Potato Head, cannot breathe.”

The teen also added the pictures from the website, where she bought the veneers, showing what they promised to do to the users’ teeth.

It won’t be unfair to say that there is hardly any resemblance between the website’s claims and what the product actually delivered.

The illustration on the website shows a woman with normal but naturally uneven teeth which change to a perfectly-aligned, shiny pearl-white set of teeth supposedly due to the use of the $50 dental veneers set.

Now that’s a clever marketing strategy from the seller.

There was even a customer review, which said: “I could not thank you enough. The whole process was easy and straightforward. Communication with the team via email was fast and all questions were answered.”

Ferne positively laughed the whole incident away but she did leave a complaint with the seller.

In her complaint, the teen said: “Are you having a laugh or what, I look like Mr. Potato Head. I’m phoning the police.”

Ferne’s tweet has been liked more than 2,000 times, with a number of people joining in to have fun.

A Twitter user shared the photo of Jim Carrey’s character from The Mask, suggesting: “Paint your face green and you have a perfect Mask cosplay.”

One person commented: “Oh wow that’s hot.”

This whole story has surely got some lessons for everyone to learn.

First of all, if you buy something online and do not have a good experience with it, you can complain about it. But don’t get aggressive, just laugh it away.

Another thing you can learn from this story is that it is not a good idea to use cheap online products for solving the problems which are actually solved by professionals for hundreds of dollars.

Lastly, you are perfect the way you look, don’t try to ‘edit’ yourself.
