A Pennsylvania man has claimed that half of his takeaway meal was eaten by the delivery driver.

Chris Payton had ordered spare ribs from a Dickey’s Barbecue restaurant but he was left hungry after the driver ate almost half of the meal and brought him just a few ribs spare.

The man used the DoorDash app to get his meal delivered from the restaurant in West Manchester Township.

Chris had ordered two boxes containing six ribs each.

But when he opened the boxes, he found that one of them had just four ribs and the rest of the meal appeared to have been chewed on.

His fries were also ‘pretty much gone’.

“I opened up the food, looked at it, one was half-eaten and one was full,” Chris told FOX 43.

“I was just dumbfounded. I was really shocked that something like that would happen,” he said, before adding how he was sure that his meal had been eaten by the delivery driver.

“I guess she just pulls over to the side of the road and just decides to have herself a little snack before she delivers,” Chris claimed.

“It’s just crazy. I don’t understand people why they would do something like that. It’s somebody’s food, you pay for that you expect to get it, you pay for a service.”

The delivery app DoorDash gave Chris a full refund but didn’t comment on what really happened. They also didn’t reveal if they will be investigating the matter from the driver.

Chris, however, has some words for the ‘culprit,’ as well as for the delivery service, which was founded in 2013 in San Francisco and now operates in more than 3,300 cities across the US, Canada, and Mexico.

“Treat your customers with respect, treat somebody how you would want to be treated yourself,” the angry man said.
