Tragic events happen when you’re in a wrong place at a wrong time, like this robbery that took place in a beauty store in Des Moines, Iowa.
Everything was peaceful until two armed robbers came barging in, demanding cash to the owner, Mamie Ugwuanyi. And the worst part of this was the fact that her family was all there – including her 7-year-old daughter, Victoria.
As you can see in this terrifying video, Victoria just stands in shock in between aisles when one of the gunmen sees a female customer moving.
He then aggressively shoves her to the ground and even holds a gun to her head.
Thankfully, though, nothing happened and the man moved away. What happens next is amazing.

This customer who was on the ground gestures Victoria to come over to her side, then shields the girl with her own body.

point 90 | 1As the news spread, the heroic customer was eventually identified, and Victoria’s whole family met her to thank Heather Corey in person.
And Corey remained extremely humble even when she was getting applauded by others – she says that any mother would have done the same thing.
What an incredibly brave and compassionate women! Despite what she said, not many people could have done the same thing as Corey.
