Couples can now celebrate their marriage for less than $600 by hosting wedding parties at McDonald’s.
With the growing trend for unconventional places, McDonald’s Hongkong is now hosting bridal showers and wedding receptions where couples can choose from four different packages ranging from $567 to $1,890.
Depending on the chosen package, it includes everything from customized invitations and McDonald’s branded balloon wedding rings to tiered apple pie cake displays.
26-year-old Safiya Nygaard and her fiancé Tyler Williams travelled to Asia’s ‘World City’ to experience McDonald’s nuptials, filming the incredible event in a YouTube video.
McDonald’s wedding celebrations were initially available from only three locations in central Hong Kong. Npw, fifteen outlets are already offering nuptial parties.
Hong Kong is the only city in the world where couples can enjoy a McDonald’s wedding reception.
The most affordable package, the Happiness Party, includes a two-hour venue rental, a party MC and a basic audio equipment for only $567.
The Deluxe Love Forever Party, which costs $1,890, includes a two-hour rental, a balloon bridal bouquet, a party MC, and two McDonald’s balloon wedding rings.
Decorations also include a heart-shaped balloon set, a ‘love’ balloon table runner, a romantic roses balloon arch, and a tiered apple pie cake.
The package also includes McDonald’s character gifts for 50 guest and 50 invitation cards.
Spokesperson Jessica Lee said the wedding party idea for the packages started as McDonald’s occupies a special place in the hearts of many young couples.
“We started the the program because many customers tell us that McDonald’s is where they first started dating,” she told CNBC. “McDonald’s is where their love stories grew.”
Hong Kong McDonald’s also caters for anniversary, bridal shower and engagement parties.
