The couple with the world’s greatest height difference spoke out to share their joyful story with the rest of the world.
Chloe and James Lusted are a young couple from Wales, UK, who recently made a Guinness World Record after it was concluded they have the biggest height difference among all couples in the ‘different gender/taller woman’ category across the globe.
Chloe and James, who has Diastrophic Dysplasia, met several years ago at a local pub. After falling in love, the couple got married in a sweet 2016 ceremony during which the groom used a ladder to reach his bride and give her a big kiss.
Though Chloe previously admitted she was attracted to taller men in the past, nothing could stop her from loving James after she got to know her soulmate.
“There is someone out there for everyone, and it perhaps won’t be who you imagine. I hope that our love story teaches others that you can never judge a book by its cover and everyone has their own personal story underneath what they look like,” she says.
Meanwhile, James called the day he tied the knot with his partner one of the best days of his life. The other unforgettable moment was the time he and his wife welcomed their daughter into their family.
“Holding my daughter in my arms is definitely in the top two of the best things I’ve ever done. Marrying Chloe was the other best day of my life,” James, who didn’t pass his condition on to his daughter, said.
As James added, he never thought he would get to live the day he gets married to the love of his life and it wasn’t until he met Chloe that he started believing there is someone out there for everyone.
“I came to a point where I had to say to myself that dwarfism doesn’t own me, I own dwarfism. I just wanted to be the same as everyone else and I just wanted to live my life in a big way, in a little body,” he expressed.
