A dad claims he was left in disgust after finding a human TOOTH in his Chinese takeaway curry.

Dave Burrows, 38, says he went to enjoy the dish with girlfriend Stephanie McDonough and left in shock when he found the tooth in pork curry which they ordered from Newtown Cantonese Take Away.

The couple called the staff of Chinese takeaway to complain about the grim find – and they claim that it was animal gristle or even onion.

The council food inspectors visited takeaway to investigate and the tooth sent to a lab for analysis, a Worcester City Council spokesman told The Sun Online.

Ms. McDonough said that she wants an apology, adding: “I feel so sick, it’s vile.”

The couple, from Warndon, Worcs, were reimbursed the cost of the curry but not the rest of their bill.

Ms. McDonough said: “We thought it was a bone at first, but it’s definitely a tooth.

“I phoned the restaurant later that night and the manager really tried to convince me it was gristle in the pork.

“She was having none of it. She was trying to come up with different things that it could have been. It was a tooth.

“It’s more a concern of how it got there.

“Was it spat in there or fell? I’m 90 percent sure it’s a human tooth. It could have come from their food suppliers or wherever.”

“The item from the customer’s meal has now been sent off to a laboratory for formal identification and to establish whether it has been cooked.”
