And it seems the troubles are more to come for this huge island nation, in the forms of two strains of coronavirus hitting the population to the core.

The authorities are still grappling to find the cure for the original form of the virus, which has been denoted as Type A. However a Type C is rising in observation as more patients file in for testing, which was prevalent in Singapore and Hong Kong.

For now, the virus strains and their evolution has been traced to three closely related but distinct formations. Type A is the original virus, infamously and supposedly originating from Wuhan, China, the one that spread from pangolins. However, contrary to common belief, China has been struck hard with Type B, a type known and reported since Christmas Eve.

Type C is a variant from Type B, which has been spotted in Singapore and obviously spread from there due to the immigrant and trade abundance between the two nations as well as for their affinities in geographical and political sense.

The above research was conducted by Cambridge University teams who have been diligently recording the genetic history of the infectious virus starting December, and has noticed that Australia is fighting a two-headed hydra, when one is already enough to find cure for and battle with.

It seems the virus is ever evolving to fight off human immune system in such speed, it is almost incomparable to juxtapose it to another virus.

Although initially criticized by the scientific community for the lack of the sample base the research team gathered, as there were only 160 patients as a topic for research. the research has now updated its base sample to over 1000, making the research credentials more believable, and imposing much serious message to the authorities handling the crisis.

The team has come to another conclusion deduced from their research, which specified that although Type C was the most prevalent and commonly spread in Europe, the data sample implies that type B is spreading in a worrying manner, including almost all of the samples taken from patients in Swiss.
