We’ve covered some pretty sad prom stories, like one girl being told “girls like us need to cover up”. Prom is the night where sadly many high school friendships will end as all begin their new lives at college. It’s a truly magical, but important night for these teenagers.  This was especially true for Clare who had been homeschooled all her life, so being able to go to her local church and celebrate prom with her boyfriend and friends was an all new, yet exciting experience for her.

All seemed perfect as Clare was preparing for her prom. She managed to find the perfect silver dress. Clare took special care to make sure the test passed the “fingertip test,” which means that the dress extends below the tips of her fingers when worn. So what went so wrong?
