Despite the whopping license fee for Winfrey, representatives for Meghan and Harry said that they are not being paid for the appearance.

But experts believe the publicity is expected to attract more interest in the couple and will help propel the $1 billion brand they want to build in the US.

When Winfrey asked why she was speaking out now, the former actress answered: “Well, so many things. That we’re on the other side of a lot of – a lot of life experience that’s happened, and also that we have the ability to make our own choices in a way that I couldn’t have said yes to you then.”

In another clip, Meghan accuses the Royal Family of “perpetuating falsehoods” about her and Harry.

“I don’t know how they could expect that, after all this time, we would still just be silent if there is an active role that The Firm is playing in perpetuating falsehoods about us.”

“And, if that comes with risk of losing things, I mean, I… there is a lot that has been lost already,” she said.
