Another Capitol rioter was arrested and charged after it was revealed that he had threatened to shoot and run over House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Cleveland Grover Meredith Jr. armed himself with an assault rifle and hundreds of bullets as he traveled to Washington, DC to attend the Wednesday protest that turned into a violent riot, CNN reported.
According to the authorities, the father-of-two also bragged about his plans to his friends, whereas he allegedly texted them saying he wanted to shoot Nancy Pelosi and run her over.
“I’m gonna run that c**t Pelosi over while she chews on her gums,” the married man reportedly wrote in one of his texts.
In another text, Meredith threatened to put “a bullet in [her] noggin on Live TV.”
As the authorities revealed, another text message sent by the rioter claimed that he’s equipped with “a sh** ton of armor piercing ammo.”
According to the federal investigators, the man has been charged with making threats and possession of an unregistered firearm. He is currently one of more than a dozen rioters that are facing federal charges over their roles in the Wednesday insurrection.
Prior to the Wednesday riot, Meredith was reportedly also seen demonstrating at the home of Georgia Governor Brian Kemp where protesters gathered to object to the governor’s refusal to engage in overturning Biden’s election win in the state.
