Saying goodbye to someone you love is extremely difficult and it becomes even more difficult when it has to be their last goodbye.
If you are a dog owner you will understand what is the amount of love one has for their dog but the sad part is, no matter how much you want it, your dog will never live as much as you do.
A family from Toledo, Ohio is facing the same situation as they have discovered that their dog Cody has terminal bone cancer and he only has a few days to live.
Well, as these are his last days, the family made sure these days become the best ones for Cody. They are feeding him healthy every day and trying to keep him distracted from the pain.
To make these days count, they decided to let him enjoy a cheeseburger daily. They brought Cody in the family when he was just 8 weeks old and the baby is now 10 years old.
Lynn Morris, Cody’s owner said that their entire family was heartbroken but they wanted it to be great last days for Cody. That is when she thought what would be in a dog’s bucket list and got the idea of a cheeseburger.
One day when the family was out the decision to take the burger for Burger King. Lynn ordered a cheeseburger without the patty. The employee of Burger King then asked her for why she was taking a plain burger and she told him Cody’s story.
“He asked us to wait for a minute, went inside and brought us our food. Then he again went inside and came back with the manager of the restaurant.”
“They said that they are making a coupne for Cody and he will be getting free Burgers on the outlet whenever he wishes to have.”
“We were so touched by this amazing gestures. They don’t know how much it means to us and especially what a great difference it will make for our baby Cody.”
