Little Tyler was only four years old when he was diagnosed with leukemia. Since then, his life was full of challenges including bullying which resulted from his hair loss caused by chemotherapy.

“When I lost my hair, I was really sad and embarrassed at the same time to go to school. They used to make fun of me and laugh at me because I was different,” the 11-year-old recalled in an interview with America’s Got Talent.

Fortunately, the young cancer patient discovered his passion for music at the age of 7. Much to his mum’s delight, the boy’s spirits went up after he started taking violin lessons.

Following his performance, the AGT’s strictest judge, Simon Cowell, asked the boy how his actions made him feel to which the boy responded by saying: “I’m feeling really proud of myself.”

Comforting the young man, Simon explained that “most people are bullied because they’re better than the people who bully them.” He then hit the Golden Buzzer and joined Tyler on the stage together with the boy’s proud mom.
