This Woman Canceled Her Trip To India To Feed The Bushfire Victims With Free Meals


Australian bushfire has stunned everyone around the globe.

Every human being who has a beating heart has been constantly praying that the calamity gets dampen as early as possible. But, some people are coming forward and giving their contribution in any way possible.

Sikh women from Melbourne reportedly canceled her trip to India that she was about to take after 10 years just to cook meals for the bushfire victims.

Sukhwinder Kaur, 35 is a resident of Melbourne who had scheduled a trip to her home country to visit her sister who recently survived a stroke.

Instead of meeting his sister Sukhwinder decided to stay in Australia and serve 1000 meals/day for refugees who have left their homes due to bushfire. She has been camping at Bairnsdale Oval from New Years’ Eve to help the community.

Just in a few days, the community she has been feeding had become her family. Her day begins with preparing meals for them and ends with seeing their satisfied faces.

Sukhwinder Kaur said that she has duties towards her community first. She has lived here for so long, the people here are her family and family is in need you cannot just elope, you have to stick together and lend a helping hand.

She later added that she considers herself lucky to have got the chance to serve these people who are in need of food and shelter.

Sukhwinder is happy that none of the food gets waster and everyone is fed rightly.

Even the Victorian Premier, Daniel Andrews met the crew and said that at the time of crisis everyone looks for help, and these volunteers drove to Bairnsdale from Melbourne to help the victims with the daily food.
