When he was four, he learned about the Sleep in Heavenly Place organization, which helps assemble, build and deliver bunk beds to families in need, according to CNN.

The young boy was so excited to help out but he was too young to participate, his mother said to the outlet.

“[Building beds] was something Tyler was wanting to do because he really likes carpentry work and working on projects with his dad,” she expressed. “But to build the beds, you have to be 12 years old.”

That didn’t stop the kindhearted boy. Now 5, Tyler helps out in his own ways.

Before his birthday, he asked his guests for pieces of bedding instead of presents so he could give it to Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

Jackie told CNN: “He told all of the guests that if they brought anything else, he wouldn’t play with it.”

His guests showed up with bags of bedding sets, sheets, pillows and blankets, and he was so thrilled. He also used the money he received to purchase more bedding.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace wrote on Facebook a month after his birthday: “Tyler and his family brought 11 sets of bedding and spend the day building beds! Four generations of his family were there on Sunday Making sure No Kid Sleeps on The Floor in His Town. This young man sure knows what’s important and has a great heart!”

Tyler’s project has grown and he managed to collect 100 bedding pieces through donations from local businesses.

The young boy has proudly donated 125 pieces of bedding and says he doesn’t want to stop as more items continue to pour in.

The co-president of Sleep in Heavenly Peace told the outlet: “[Tyler] is just a ray of joy. Everybody in the chapter loves hearing about Tyler and seeing him drop off the bedding.”
