The big cats have been creating a buzz by appearing on the most uncertain places.
There have been several incidents where camera lenses have caught big cats intruding the bustling city lives and prowling in power.
Recently a black panther, a legit one was spotted prowling across the streets of the French town. The big black cat was walking on the rooftops of the residential buildings.
Emergency services were called immediately when the panther came into the notice of the general public and stirred panic.
Witnesses have stated that the panther was sized like Labrador dog. He would keenly stare at the trains passing by and give stern looks to the cats walking by.
According to the reports, the black panther climbed down the stairs to enter the apartment. A 15-year-old girl was inside the house who fled from the scene after watching the big black cat.
The black panther, 45lb wasn’t aggressive enough to hunt down the girl, he passed by her to reach the rooftop.
A person from the Animal Protection League stated that the panther was claimed domestic by its owners and had no signs of aggression when the team reached the spot. Its claws were clipped, and the vet had said panther was in good health.
Though the vet had to tranquilize the big cat before handing it over to Animal Protection League, the panther didn’t drestrained to anything.
According to sources, the panther has now been shifted to the local zoo. The French cops are investigating more about the owners who have supposedly endangered the lives of many. The reason how the big cat was let loose isn’t clear yet.
Wildlife officials are also keen to get in touch with owners in order to understand in which conditions the panther was kept.
A source close to the French Police stated that a person is not permitted to keep a panther as a domestic pet.
The cop further added that they hadn’t seen such an incident before. Keeping a snake can be believed, but a panther is unimaginable.
