Alaskan Bush People Star Billy Brown Has Passed Away Aged 68 After Suffering From A Seizure


Alaskan Bush People star Billy Brown has passed away at the age of 68 after suffering from a seizure.

His grieving son, Bear Brown, shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram on Monday.

The 33-year-old shared a photo of his fisherman and hunter dad along with his mother Ami Brown.

He wrote: “We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved patriarch Billy Brown passed away last night after suffering from a seizure.

“He was our best friend — a wonderful and loving dad, granddad and husband and he will be dearly missed.

“He lived his life on his terms, off the grid and off the land and taught us to live like that as well.

“We plan to honor his legacy going forward, and to continue with his dream. We ask for privacy and prayers during this painful time. God Bless Everyone!”

In a statement to People, a spokesperson for Discovery said: “We are devastated to hear of Billy Brown’s sudden passing.

“He has been part of the Discovery family for years — a trailblazer, a lovely man and most definitely one of a kind.

“Our heart is with his family and those that knew him and loved him as they deal with this devastating loss.”

In 2017, Ami had been diagnosed with lung cancer and they moved to North Cascade Mountains in Washington. The following year, she was told that she was cancer free.

The reality documentary style TV show, Alaskan Bush People, follows Billy, Ami, and their seven children: Noah, Gabe, Bear, Bam Bam, Matt, Birdy, and Rainy, in Copper River Valley.

They called themselves the Wolf Pack as they decided to stick together.
