A girl born with no arms is inspiring millions of people around the world with her impressive dancing skills.
16-year-old Vitoria Bueno from Brazil does not let her condition hold her back from following her dreams.
She has become a social media sensation, with more than 150,000 followers on Instagram where she shares videos of her incredible performances.
Bueno was only 5 years old when her mother first dropped her off at a ballet class.
Her mother, 39-year-old Wanda, said that her daughter’s condition made her a social curiosity in their small town of Santa Rita Do Sapicai.
“People would line up outside the house to see her. They would lift up her sleeves to look,” she expressed.
Bueno, now 16, took up jazz and tap and focused on her dancing. She is now a regular at the ballet academy and her talent has made her an inspiration to millions of people.
“For me, arms, they’re just a detail,” she said at the theater in the state of Minas Gerais. “I follow with my eyes, as if they were there.”
Watching Bueno perform and glide across the stage makes it easy to forget that she doesn’t have arms.
“I don’t feel like I need them at all,” the ballerina added.
Her stepfather, Jose Carlos Perreira, said: “There are things she can do with her feet that I can’t do with my hands.”
Bueno has more than 150,000 followers on Instagram and she is happy to be a role model for other people.
“We are more than our disabilities, so we have to chase our dreams,” she expressed.
