An angry wife has shot her husband dead after discovering that he had added a porn channel to their television subscription behind her back.
69-year-old Patricia Hill from Arkansas allegedly “flew into a rage” after the discovery and shot her 65-year-old husband, Frank Hill, in their Pine Bluff home.
The enraged wife is now standing trial for the capital murder of her husband following the porn channel incident that occurred in July last year.
As the court heard, Patricia had canceled the naughty channel on two occasions in the past. According to the prosecutors, she lost her cool and shot her husband after finding out that he had subscribed to the X-rated channel for the third time.
According to the reports, the 69-year-old confronted her husband in a “man cave” that he had set up at the back of their house.
After exposing the truth, the woman picked up her .22-caliber pistol and returned to the man’s private place before fatally shooting him.
Frank was discovered by the police after Patricia called the emergency services and requested the police and an ambulance. As heard in the recorded call, Patricia explained that her husband got shot and that she was the culprit.
The authorities found Frank lying dead on the floor with gunshot wounds to his head and leg. They have also come across a TV subscription bill in the couple’s living room.
The 69-year-old has pleaded not guilty, with her lawyer arguing that she sees adults-only content as “a personal affront to her and to her God.” Additionally, doctors will testify about her mental state on the basis that “her reality snapped” at the time of the shooting.
