Ah, what a time to mention this because Amazon has a great surprise for all of us Alexa lovers.
The company has announced a list of names of the celebrities as the company will be adding their voice to Alexa. One of those celebrities is Samuel L. Jackson.
Jackson is so cool and what can be better than waking up to Nick Fury himself wishing you good morning every single day in his classic style.
Having Samuel L. Jackson right in your house every day is going to be a great fun thing, especially for people like me who love talking to Alexa.
Amazon announced the news today at their annual hardware event. The company said that rather than making Jackson speak every word in the English language, it is going to recreate his voice using neural text-to-speech technology.
Amazon has priced Samuel’s Alexa personality at just $0.99 which is extremely affordable and a very attractive price for having your own Fury. The personality will have two versions for you to choose from, the R-18 version and the Family Friendly version.
To get Samuel to speak to you all you would have to do is choose your version then ask Alexa to introduce you to Samuel and you will be good to go.
You can then talk to Jackson about himself or give him various commands by asking Alexa. He can even sing happy Birthday for you.
Amazon said that the celebrity voices they are adding will not be able to read out the shopping list or the Dairy list for you, but I think that is completely manageable.
