Yes, parenting is not easy and sometimes, it can scare the hell out of us; particularly when you are alone without any support.

He was excited to bring his daughter back to Cleveland for his family and friends to meet. However, when it was time to board the flight, the authorities at the Sky Harbor International airport suddenly stopped Rubin and Ru-Andria.

Rubin was all prepared to fly his daughter back home, and he had the doctor’s certificate stating that the 4-year-old is fit to fly. But Frontier, the airline, said no.

It was stated that it is the airline’s policy that they don’t fly with babies aged under 7-days-old. Rubin was about to panic; he was alone in a strange city with nowhere to go.

He was brain-freeze, he had no idea what to do.

Then certainly he remembered an elderly nurse, Joy Ringhofer, he met at the hospital. She is a volunteer at the Banner University Medical Center. She was the one who held Ru-Andria after she was born.

The moment Rubin and Joy met, they became friends instantly. It was a long shot but Rubin knew that she is his only to-go person.

Fortunately, Joy was a caring woman. She didn’t think for a second before approving to help Rubin. She took Rubin and Ru-Andria back to her home, provided him food and made sure that little Ru-Andria is okay and settled in.

They stayed at Joy’s place for three days before they left. Ru-Andria by then had become 7-days-old and eligible to take the flight.

What Joy did was something amazing and heartwarming. She knew Rubin for only hours and still, she didn’t hesitate to help him and his newborn. What a lady…
