Fans and viewers of the hit TV show The Simpsons have always established that the show correctly predicted the future at a number of times, such as Donald Trump becoming the president and 20th Century Fox being bought by Disney.
Now, even the writer of the show, Bill Oakley, has supported the claim, on a funny note though.
The newest prediction linked to The Simpsons is from an episode as old as 1993. The episode shows Springfield being attacked by a contagious viral disease.
And while people are seeking a vaccine for the disease, they are attacked by bees. This is very similar to the current situation where the US is being attacked by the murder hornets during the COVID-19 pandemic.
A fan of The Simpsons shared the clip from the show on Twitter, saying that it had accurately predicted the future.
Soon after, Bill retweeted the post, writing: “OK fine I guess we did.”
It looks like the writer of the show has had enough of the same joke over and over again and he is not in mood for sharing it anymore – but people will surely take the meaning from it that they want.
People are getting more and more predictions from The Simpsons since it has been made available on Disney+ and there’s even a collection of all the episodes of the show that predicted the future.

Among all the predictions made by the show, the most bizarre is from the episode “Bart To The Future,” which was broadcasted in 2000.
It shows Lisa as president as she tells White House staff: “We’ve inherited quite a budget crunch from President Trump.”
Explaining his position on this joke, Bill said: “We predicted that he would be president back in 2000 – but [Trump] was of course the most absurd placeholder joke name that we could think of at the time, and that’s still true. It’s beyond satire.”
