The Border Patrol Union President Says This Is the Worst Crisis In History

An interview on the radio was conducted on Tuesday where theBrandon Judd, the National Border Patrol Council President, said that the agents of the United States Border Patrol are witnessing the ‘worst crisis’ their agency has ever gone through since their formation in the year 1924.

Judd was not very encouraging about the Border Patrols role when asked about the 20,000 migrants that they were approaching the border. He is in approval of the President’s notion of closing the border.

Judd further adds that the notion of closing the border is very drastic yet practical. Since the economy of Mexico is dependent on the entry ports of their goods to the U.S. if the border closes, it will hit its economy and shut their commerce down.

He thinks that this outcry may finally get the government to do something. He then says that in spite of the southern border of Mexico having strict immigration laws, people cross their borders like it is not even there.

This led him to think that the government is helping them in a way since they are doing nothing to solve it.

Judd has started believing that closing the border might be beneficial to some extent in the long run.

When asked what is causing the riots now and not in Barrack Obama’s administration, Judd pointed to the immigrants that they always find different ways to cross, and they have found out what works now.

He added that in the month of March, the Border Patrol arrested near about a 100,000 people, it has been increasing since then. This year alone they have 400,000 arrests.

However, on Sunday, there was news of a ‘spring surge’ in migration is happening which might result in Central American citizens flooding the border.
