The outrageous Hollywood story that is the family of Woody Allen’s is unmatched in its sheer unimaginable plot twists and bizarre turnout of events, much like his own movies.

It is marked deep down in film history when the now 84-year-old director was caught by his ex-wife Mia Farrow to have been copulating with their step-daughter Soon-Yi Previn two decades ago.

Now, the octogenarian director has tried to publish a memoir to commemorate his life in film and also his rather heavily contorted personal life as well. But his son through Mia Farrow, the celebrated author and journalist Ronan Farrow has led an official boycott against the official publication.

Ronan Farrow,Pulitzer winner through his investigative work that sent Harvey Weinstein to the cells, was furious that the book was set to be published by Hachette Book Group, where his previous works have been safely vested and was expected to be his partner in business.

His campaign led several Hachette employees to get out of office and led Farrow to turn to other means of publishing if Allen’s work was to be given a green light. Hence the cancellation.

Woody Allen remains positively undeterred. By his words, he knows that other publishers will be out there vying to get their hand on the publishing right. What contents are in there? Here’s a choice excerpt from the said book.

The director decried Hachette imprint Grand Central, noticing how they ‘dumped the book like it was a hunk of Xenon 135’, a.k.a. nuclear waste.

Allen, 84, sneered of Hachette of ‘cowering’ for another MeToo that his estranged son has initiated but is quite sure his work will be recognized  ‘because you can’t keep the truth bottled up forever’. Allen claimed, according to the Daily Mail, “there was a silent majority of Hollywood actors and directors who supported him but could not speak up because they feared being fired.”

He recently brought up his friend from the 2009 movie of his, Seinfeld producer Larry David, to help. And help he gave:

Was Larry David enough to cover up and give them some sort of clemency?
