It took several days for one woman to realize she had been washing her hands with a block of cheese instead of a bar of soap.
And when she did, she just couldn’t stop laughing at herself.
Miley, from Vancouver, Washington, was puzzled why her soap wasn’t foaming like before until she discovered that it was, in fact, a lump of cheddar.
She said she uses liquid soap for her dishes but has a bar of yellow, unscented soap to use on her hands.
One night after a round of drinks, she inadvertently left a block of cheddar on the counter then mistakenly took it for the bar of soap.
She went to Reddit to share her hilarious mistake as well as a photo of the cheese.
Miley wrote: “Just realized my soap wasn’t working because it’s literally a block of cheese.”
She went into detail on why it took her so long to realize her mistake, adding: “I use liquid soap for the dishes, bar soap like dis is gentler on my hands after I do chores if that makes any sense [sic].”
But Miley readily came clean about the role Cafe Mom alcohol likely played in her funny mishap.
She said: “It was a couple of days of ‘Why isn’t this foaming?!’
“I come to realize it was a dried-out square of Tillamook sharp cheddar cheese.
“I suspect I left it out when I was intoxicated and just forgot.”
Reddit users also erupted in laughter at her mistake, with her post drawing more than 100 comments from amused readers.
One person asked: “But that must mean…… have we been eating Mac&Soap the entire week??”
Another added: “Does that mean you put the soap in the fridge?”
While a third said: “To be fair to you it does look like a block of soap.”
