What’s the strangest find you’ve come across while casually walking down a street of a metropolitan?
We are sure whatever you might have found won’t come close to this lady finding the body of a crocodile while walking down a lane in Liverpool.
The body of the reptile was discovered by the woman when she was going back home from her job on Wednesday, November 13.
She claimed that its bones were sticking out through the skin as it happens with malnourished animals and humans.
The woman spoke to Liverpool Echo about the incident, telling them how she initially thought it was some sort of a stuffed animal or a fake croc.
But as she got near, she realized it was an original crocodile lying dead.
The lady was not the only one who witnessed the body of the croc. As a matter of fact, a number of people discovered the unusual find and soon the local social media accounts were flooded with the photos and videos of the dead animal.
The pictures that appeared online later that evening show the reptile bisected roughly in the middle.
The woman, who chose not to be named, told Liverpool Echo: “I was walking with my boyfriend on Lower Lane, about to turn onto Longmoor Lane, and didn’t really take any notice of it.
“I thought it was maybe a branch or something but as we got closer he said ‘that’s a crocodile’ but I told him it couldn’t be.
“We got closer and I could see all the features and color and scales so assumed it was maybe a teddy but we got right up to it and you could see its bones and teeth.”
She continued: “People have been commenting saying they saw it on the road and then on the grass verge so I don’t know whether it has been run over or someone has cut it in half but you can see its spine sticking out.”
When some internet users showed their cynicism about the originality of the photos, the lady went back and shot a video of the dead reptile to make people believe the truth of the story.
People had mixed thoughts about the creature appearing in the viral photos, with some suggesting that it was a stuffed animal ‘filled with hay’ while others theorizing it was someone’s pet which accidentally got out and died or was dumped after death, but nothing can be said about the case with full certainty.
