A woman was tasered and arrested after she refused to wear a face mask while watching a middle school football game in Ohio.
Alecia Kitts from Marietta was filmed getting tased and handcuffed.
According to reports, around 300 people attended the Marrieta City Schools football game. Several other families and kids were sitting in the bleachers when the incident happened.
Video of the arrest shows her sitting next to her mother in a heated argument with a cop over face masks.
Kitts resisted arrest as the cop found it difficult to handcuff her. “Let go of me!” she shouted. “Get off of me, sir! What the f*** is wrong with you?” she screamed.
People watching the game then noticed the heated debate as Kitts yelled and a boy started to cry.
Kitts yelled at the officer: “You’re not arresting me for nothing, I ain’t doing nothing wrong!”
After struggling for more than two minutes, she was tasered by the officer. Watchers lashed out at him as Kitts yelped.
One person said: “Tasing this lady over not wearing a damn mask!”
Her mother attempted to appeal to the officer, saying ‘it’s just a mask’ but Kitts was taken into custody.
Logan Athletic Director Theresa Schultheiss told The Marietta Times that of the 300 people attending the football game, only Kitts and her mother were ‘having issues with compliance.’
She said: “This rule has been in effect since we were told we could play.
“Everyone that came through ticketing tonight was reminded, we had regular announcements over the PA reminding you that mouths and noses needed to be covered and we had signs at the bathrooms.”
