A furious customer sat on the floor of Costco and refused to leave after she was denied service for not wearing a face mask.
Video shows a Costco employee asking a woman to put her mask on in the store. The older woman had her mask dangling from one ear but did not want to use it properly.
The female employee said in the clip: “You just have to tell me that you have one. Well, then you have to wear it. You have to wear your mask in public. This is private property.”
The woman then replied: “I am not a member of Costco.”
“Want me to get that taken care of for you? Well, then you’re going to have to put your mask on,” the employee said.
However, the woman replied: “I will not,” adding the requirement to use a face mask is “your problem.”
The employee told her to “come back another time,” but the furious woman, who admitted she doesn’t have a medical condition that could make it unsafe for her to use a face mask, demanded to see the boss.
“He’s gonna require the same. If you want to step outside here I’ll have him come meet you outside. You need to do that it’s our policy. We’re going to walk outside,” the employee said.
But instead of putting her mask back on, the woman plopped onto the floor and refused to budge.
“Can I get you a chair outside? There’s a place to sit. Want me to help you up?” the employee asked.
The woman retorted: “I’m not leaving. Do you want to carry me?”
She also said: “I am an American. I have constitutional rights!”
