A video has emerged that shows a woman abusing and spitting at two sisters for ‘bringing coronavirus to Australia’.
23-year-old Sophie Do and her 19-year-old sister Rosa were crossing Petersham Road in Marrickville, Sydney when a woman and her friend started abusing and spitting at them.
Rosa told Daily Mail Australia that the two racist women walked passed them abusing them and yelling: ‘Stay away from them, they’ve got coronavirus’.
The two sisters filmed the moment the racist women abused the sisters and started spitting at them.
One of the women wearing a grey sweatsuit can be seen trying to kick the sisters in the video.
Rosa told Daily Mail Australia: “I simply could not tolerate it so I yelled back and said ”Excuse me? What did you just say? Say it again.’”
The woman in grey sweatsuit can be seen shouting ‘I’ve got a knife in my bag… you little Asian dog’ before telling them to get out of here.
When Sophie and Rosa asked them to leave them alone, the woman said: “I’m not going to walk you dumb s**t.”
The woman then started untying her jumper from her waist to fight with the sisters.
The woman can be seen kicking Rosa’s back in the video but Sophie pulled her away.
The woman continued abusing as she said: “Asian b**ch. You brought corona here. Eat a bat again you dumb wh***.”
When a bystander told the racist women to leave the sisters alone, the woman spat at them before leaving.
Sophie told later that hate crimes against Asians have increased due to coronavirus pandemic and she never thought it could happen to her.
She said: “It made me feel afraid for my sisters’ safety. I knew that if I retaliated, it would’ve ended badly for us both. So I kept my cool. I knew I took the best approach to ensure we got out of the situation safely.”
A few days back, a racist mother caught on camera shouting at two men to ‘go back to your own country’ before calling them ‘disease-carrying motherf***er’ on a Melbourne tram.
When the racist mother saw the two men wearing the masks on a Melbourne tram, she told them: “Go back to your own country. F*** your face mask, you disease-carrying motherf***er.”
While her young daughter cried and asked her to stop shouting at the men.
The men filmed the woman shouting at them and shared the video which instantly went viral online.
