A 21-year-old woman, from Orpington, has blasted a beauty salon for giving her the ‘world’s s******t eyebrows’ and claimed she could have ‘done a better job blindfolded’.
Melissa Ryan claimed she was forced to get her eyebrows laminated by a staff member at Cavendish Aesthetics after having a lip filler treatment.
She said the staff member was not qualified enough and gave her the ‘world’s s******t eyebrows’.
Melissa slammed the salon on social media and told she was offered to have her eyebrows laminated and tinted after having a lip filler treatment.
When she asked if the treatment would suit her, the owner of the salon, Amanda Cavendish and her colleague said she would look great.
Melissa wrote online: “My eyebrows were completely unsatisfactory and nothing like the photos that are advertised on social media.”
“I was left looking like I complete fool. I probably could’ve done a better job myself blindfolded.”
Melissa also shared screenshots of her conversation with Amanda and accused her of dealing with the situation highly unprofessionally.
Amanda has slammed Melissa for her post that went viral online as people started sending hateful messages to Amanda after her post.
She said she even has reported it to the police as she has become a victim of online abuse after Melissa’s post.
Amanda also said she had offered to thin her eyebrows after the treatment and even offered a refund of £25 but said Melissa did not turn up at the salon.
Amanda told KentLive: “It’s not a good idea for me to be responding to bullying, hate speech vulgarity on social media but I do want to put my side across.”
“I’ve had over 700 vile harassing, hateful things said about me. Staff are worried that someone will come in and cause problems, I’ve had clients cancel today. I don’t want to have anyone here put at risk.”
Amanda said she clearly told Melissa that they were looking for models for the treatment and it will be done by someone in training.
She said: “All I said at the time was, ‘we do brow lamination, you’ve got lovely big brows, would you like to have your brows laminated?’”
“She said ‘go on then why not’ – those were her words.”
