Watch the woman during her five-year fertility battle
Kayleigh Evans, from Birkenhead, Wirral, has now finally given birth to her son, Tyler and shared the heartbreaking video clips to give hope to other women.
Kayleigh said she took hundreds of pregnancy tests during her five-year fertility battle and started recording herself to pour her heart out as she felt alone.
She said her husband, Lee and her friends always supported her but still, she felt she was all alone.
She said: “I felt like I had no one. I have such lovely family and friends but I still felt like that. I felt so alone and like I wasn’t a woman. It was horrible. I was doing pregnancy tests every week. It was so hard. It was devastating.”
“I would cry every single time it was negative. It never got easier. It was so stressful. I was just doing the videos for myself. It made me feel like I could talk to someone. Even my husband didn’t know I was doing them.”
Kayleigh and Lee have been together since they were 14. The couple was trying for a baby for five years.
They tried everything but nothing worked. Even doctors couldn’t give them an answer.
Kayleigh said: “I did thousands of tests. It’s hard to describe the heartache. It was so hard. It’s so soul-destroying. It was actually devastating. When you’re speaking to people, they always ask if you have kids. You don’t want to go through it all with them all the time.”
“It’s devastating to say “I don’t have kids”. I used to lie sometimes and say “ah I’m going on holiday so we aren’t trying”. When really I had been trying for five years.”
During her five-year fertility battle, she recorded herself but totally forgot about the videos when she got pregnant and finally, gave birth to her son, Tyler.
She said: “To be honest I forgot all about them. I saw them the other day. “I was just looking through my phone and I saw them.”
Kayleigh then decided to share the videos on her Facebook to give hope to other women who are also going through fertility battle.
She said: “I have been through so much and I don’t want people to give up on trying to get pregnant. Never give up if that is what you want.”
“I’ve had loads of messages from girls going through what I was saying I gave them hope. I hope people find comfort in the video and now people may understand why I was so protective through my pregnancy. Never give up”, she added.
