A Chinese woman has successfully scared off a burglar who tried to molest her.
Pretending that she is infected with coronavirus, she could prevent the burglar from further attack.
Initially, the intruder attempted to grab the woman by her neck and abuse her.
But the victim started coughing and said that she has come from Wuhan with symptoms of coronavirus.
Soon after this, the burglar grabbed the victim’s phone and $9 and ran away from her house as per details given by local media sources.
Sources detailed that the woman was sleeping inside her room when the burglar came and she started to scream.
The victim made the false confession that she is suspected with coronavirus that made the burglar ran away from the house. This way, the fake news helped the victim to save herself.
The suspected 25 years old burglar from Pinba township of Chongqing is known to run away from home. As the burglar was running out of money, he planned for robbing.
The Jingshan police detailed the incident in a social media post and also declared that the suspected burglar had been detained.
Soon after this, on 31st January 2020, the criminal investigation team of Pingba caught and arrested the alleged 25 years old, Xiao.
The case was investigated soon after the female victim reported about it in the police station. Her presence of mind for using the news at the right time saved her life.
On the other hand, the number of deaths in China has reached almost 425, with a total number of cases of 20,438 as reported by Chinese authorities.
