Woman Proudly Accepted Her Facial Birthmark After Rude Agent Told Her To Photoshop It

Birthmarks can be really embarrassing if they’re in an easily visible spot.

Many attempt to hide them, but some have come to embrace their birthmarks. In fact, they believe their birthmarks make them stand out in the crowd.

Society’s expectations of beauty are typically based off of our basic instincts as humans. As babies, we react best to people who have symmetrical faces. Of course, beauty is inherently subjective – as the saying goes, “beauty is in the eye of the beholder.”

You should always be yourself, especially if it makes you unique. This is a lesson that one young lady is hoping to show the world.

After being born with hypertrichosis, a condition that causes excessive hair growth on certain parts of her body, Cassandra Naud had to face many tough challenges in her life.

When she was first born, the doctors actually offered to remove the birthmark on Cassandra’s face. The downside was that there was a chance for a large scar to be left in its place. So, her parents decided against it, fearing a scar would be just as bad as a birthmark.

Due to her unique birthmark, she were bullied all throughout her school years. Cruel children often teased and stared at her. However, Cassandra stood strong, and never let them get in her head.

Now, after 22 years, she says that she couldn’t be happier! She has come to love it.

It’s who I am and I don’t feel like it has ever held me back.”

She has even found success as a professional dancer, dancing in front of crowds. Cassandra admits that she had few struggles at first. For instance, some people at the dancing agencies rudely commented on her birthmark, even suggesting her to photoshop it out.

Instead of being hurt by these comments, Cassandra stuck it out. Fortunately, she is even making quite a name for herself on social media. On her Instagram, she posts pictures of herself, showing the world how proud she is to be unique and different. She now has nearly 40,000 followers on her Instagram.
