A woman was left disgusted after a large rodent fell from the ceiling and slammed directly onto her menu as she was selecting her meal while enjoying a sports game.
Texas-based Alisha Kent Norman, who was visiting Los Angeles, California, took to social media to share her disgust after a large slammed onto her menu at the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant.
“So what do you do when a rat falls from the ceiling onto your table… really LA? I was just trying to watch the soccer game,” the upset customer expressed.
As she later on explained, the rodent was still alive and kicking when she pulled out her cell phone to document the incident.
“I knew the rat was going to be injured because it hit like a Mack truck. You could hear something come down,” Ms. Norman added in an interview with NBC 4, expressing her concern over the rat’s wellbeing.
After calling the manager to take care of the issue, the staff allegedly came over with two plates before containing the rodent and throwing it into a bag.
“He took two plates and then they just picked it up and dumped it in a bag. It was terrible. It was disgusting,” the woman added.
While it remains unclear whether Norman ordered anything after the ratcident, she pointed out that her previous orders including a margarita and a shot were complimentary.
“So I had to take a picture in front on the BWW and their A rating… notice 310 area code to let you know… YES I’m in Los Angeles and a rat absolutely fell from the ceiling…” Norman added in an update.
“I’m cute though…..but not a great welcome Los Angeles….and update…there was no bill…headed to fashion district! Great win Team USA!”
Following the public outrage, the Buffalo Wild Wings team also spoke out in a statement to DailyMail and said:
“The isolated incident at the Westchester-area Buffalo Wild Wings in Los Angeles yesterday was unfortunate. The center where the restaurant is located is undergoing significant construction and we are confident it was directly related.
“We hold Buffalo Wild Wings to the highest operating standards and promptly closed the restaurant for proper remediation, cleaning and sanitization. We look forward to reopening soon to once again serve our guests in the Westchester area.”
