A woman has been applauded by many and criticized by even more after sharing a photo and private information of her handsome dermatologist on Facebook.
The Twitter user, who goes under the pseudonym purple goddess, shared her derma’s picture and referred to him as “fine as sh*t.”
The photo quickly went viral and despite the fact that the doctor did not consent to have a picture taken or shared, people wanted to know how they could get in contact with the sexy dermatologist.
However, not everyone was happy by the woman’s decision to “sexualize” her dermatologist behind his back with many suggesting that her actions were “creepy” and that things would be taken much more seriously if their roles were reversed.
“This man was doing only his job and had his photo taken without his consent only to be sexualized by the owner of this account alongside other women in the replies. The toxic trait y’all openly display is beyond bigotry and purely distasteful and disturbing, to say the least,” one person wrote.
The Purple Goddess, however, didn’t intend on stopping there. Later on, she also shared a picture of the dermatologist’s business card with his location and contact number on it.
“This is the point where you crossed the line more than you already have. You took his picture without consent from him and then you released the location because he was hot. This is unacceptable, a man is just trying to do his job,” one person responded.
After the incident went viral, Bored Panda managed to get a hold of the dermatologist who agreed to provide his point of view on the whole situation.
“My first reaction was just pure anxiety. I am a very low key individual so when I first heard that I was trending on Twitter I was kind of freaking out, like ‘oh my god what is happening.’ I started getting texts from friends all over the country, some of whom I hadn’t spoken to in years, telling me that I’m the top post on Twitter,” Dr. Imran Aslam admitted.
“Once the anxiety settled though, and I realized that most people were receiving my picture favorably, I started to find the whole situation pretty funny. The comments on Twitter were hilarious, people were posting all sort of ridiculous things and the picture just kept getting liked. I think it got over 20,000 likes or something. It was crazy.
“Regarding the discussion of sexual harassment and double standards: I thought that the Reddit discussion was quite interesting and that many individuals made excellent points. By definition, many of the comments on my picture would be considered a form of sexual harassment, and I can totally understand how people consider this to be a double standard in light of the #metoo movement. And that if those same comments were made about a woman there would an uproar.

“It is because of these liberties that we enjoy as males that I think the sexual harassment discussion may have to be interpreted differently in my situation.”
