Melissa Sergent Lewis from Kentucky was running late for work.
So she decided to take a shortcut through the back road. When she was hustling, she found a trash bag. It is normal to see trash bags on the road, but what made her stop her car and inspect the bag was the fact that the trash bag was moving.
She had to check because how could make a trash bag move on its own. The closer she got, she realized that something living was inside it. She knew that she had to take it outside whatever that thing is.
She took the video of the moving trash bag as she got closer to it. She realized that the bag was tied too tight, in a knot. So she tore the bag and looked inside.
She was surprised to see what was inside the bag. It was a puppy and Melisa recalls that he sure was glad to see her. The moment he saw the light, he started wiggling his tail, which was the indication that he felt safe. Melisa couldn’t believe her eyes.
The puppy was wearing a collar, but there was no tag on it. She said that she just couldn’t leave the pup on all by itself on the road. So she took him where she works.
Melissa works at an elementary school. She put the pup on her lap and drove to the school. Then she called her son to pick up the pup. Melisa decided to adopt the pup as he seemed like had no one.
They named him Hefty and took him to the vet for the shots. He was healthy and happy.
It is cruel to see people doing such things to animals; only a cold-hearted person could do this. Melisa and her family are happy that they adopted Hefty.
