She even fell into a diabetic coma for three days.

Becky said: “At my worst point I couldn’t even stand up, I couldn’t go to the bathroom, I couldn’t even go and speak to my mum downstairs – all I wanted to do was stay in bed.”

She became so weak that every bone on her body was visible and she was told by doctors she would die within a few days.

In 2013, she admitted herself into a hospital after one side of her body was completely numb.

She was struggling to breathe and spent six weeks in the hospital.

Finally, she decided to look after herself after years of hospital stays and battling diabetic comas.

She said: “I think it was because I was scared half of my body had gone numb and my breathing wasn’t right, I was like OK, I really need to get help.”

Becky is now healthy and happy and her life is back on the track.

She is now sharing her story to show others how dangerous it can be.

She says battling an eating disorder is as dangerous as having diabetes.

She said: “I wouldn’t want anyone with diabetes to think that this is the best way to lose weight as it can be fatal.”

“I’m so happy I was able to overcome it and live my life properly.”
