Woman Who Used To Be Anorexic Shared A Powerful Message With Guys Who Fat-Shamed Her


Bullying affects those who bully, those who are bullied, and also the people who witness bullying.

It is important for parents and guardians to talk to children to know whether bullying or another problem is present.

Children who are bullied can have not only negative experiences in school but may also develop mental health issues. Victims are more likely to experience anxiety, depression, health complaints, and decreased academic achievement.

One woman who experienced wrote a powerful message to those who fat-shamed her by making pig noises.

She was 16 years old when she developed an eating disorder called anorexia. She also struggled with self-harm issues and depression. For the last four years, she has been in several clinical treatments and is still on the road to recovery.

Twitter user @recoveryforeva wrote in a series of tweets: “I would like to thank the teens who thought it would be funny to make pig noises when I walked by, yesterday.

You’ve only not made me realize there are still a lot of fatphobic assholes out there, you also showed me I am not yet where I want to be.”

One Twitter user said: “I feel your pain. I’ve been down this road. Did a 5-month inpatient eating disorder programme when I was 21 because I became very ill with anorexia. You have survived and you will thrive. Keep going, follow your own path and be gentle with yourself. You’re doing great, Eva!”

Another wrote: “You are beautiful. You’ve gotten such a long way, that is very admiring. You are far above those kids, you can gain and lose weight but you can’t change a good (or bad) heart.”
