Insecurity is a troubling feeling that affects many people and makes them believe they are inadequate.
On top of the feeling of uncertainty, insecurity comes along with self-doubt and anxiety which can greatly impact a person’s major life decisions, goals, and relationships with other people.
Though most people try to hide this awkward feeling from others, our body language sometimes reveals more than we’d hoped for.
In the picture above, you can see three ladies marked under numbers 1, 2, and 3. While two of the girls are very confident and ready to take on the world, one is feeling insecure and unsure about herself.

An insecure person may also move around a lot and may fail to maintain eye contact with the people they’re talking to. They typically focus their gaze towards the ground and may perform various small movements and gestures to distract themselves.
With all that being said, who’s the insecure girl in the picture?
If you answered woman number 3, you are correct! She has a tucked chin and is looking at the floor while slouching. She also appears to be nibbling her pen to keep herself distracted.
